Eagles Sign Ian Scott

eagles announced the signing of defensive tackle ian scott.

i wasn't really expecting this, but it definitely makes sense. while he showed some promise during his first 1.5 seasons, truck driver has pretty much been invisible the last 2.5 seasons.

depth chart looks like bunkley, patterson, scott, and reagor with either truck driver or ramsay as the extra guy. not sure if they'll be better (hoping it is), but it sure does look different.

he was one of the d-tackles who started for the bears after tommie harris went down.

truth be told, i can't say i noticed him at all in the 3 bears games i watched last season. i guess i'm just hoping he's better than truck driver.

I think he played a bunch for the Bears last year....I'm just happy that they are seeing that they need to upgrade the position. And LB....and they are creating competion, while it me be passive/aggressive at QB. I smell lots of wins this year...lots and lots.

Happy belated b-day, TMG.

Didinger likes the 2nd and 3rd picks by the Eagles (link below), but thinks this team is worse off than last year's team. I would argue they're still as good if 5 is healthy. The aging of the D is really starting to concern me.

Ask Joe. He won't have a clue, but it will be interesting to read his response.

PFT is reporting that 5 is working with a PR man who was fired by the Eagles earlier this year. I do not like the way this is starting to go.

While I've been one of the bigger (biggest?) backer of McNabb on scrapplog, this is starting to get to be too much. Why should QB be the only position on the team that's not subject to competition? 5's starting to act a little juvenile and unprofessional in my opinion.

All that said, I still think he's the best QB this team has ever had.
