phils shore up their rotation by trading for local product jamie moyer. no one is more excited by this move than ben schuchardt. i'll let him tell you why.

I have always been a big fan of Moyer. If not for anything else, he is a survivor on the mound. He can baffle hitters with his mix of speeds, slow and coach pitch, and his placement is just great. I just hope that the numbnuts that they gave up aren't good.
ok, since ben's not in a sharing mood. i've been a fan of moyer's ever since i found out that ben homered off him in high school.
Ben homered off Moyer? Ben, are you close to retirement age?
I homered off Rob Saurwalt (also known as Sewer Rat) in Little League....
Since I'm a righty (at least in baseball), I'm probably closer to retirement than Jamie.
