college basketball thoughts

the ncaa tournament is the most exciting event in sports... at least that's what the general consensus seems to be and what the pundits are constantly saying. the brackets, the gambling, the upsets, the number of games -- they all combine to make the tournament very unpredictable and entertaining.

wanna know why the perception stays that way? because most people don't actually watch the games. college basketball games suck -- both teams clanging shots left and right, missing layups, being very "active" on defense but not actually playing very good defense, dumb coaching moves.

the ncaa tournament is exciting, but it's not very good basketball.

I couldn't agree with you more. I've seen a few games this year and have never seen so many missed layups in my life. I felt like I was watching elementary school kids.

you are so right, Pete.....US basketball blows now....that is brilliant piece of literature you posted.....there is one game in this country and it's football. period the end. baseball is my second fave, but it being so slow and more of a skill than a sport is hurting it...so is coaches not teaching fundamentals in the pee wee leagues!!!

Hey! I just noticed that 3 of the 4 little ads below the links on the right (ads by Gooooooogle) are for Cowboys stuff. WTF?!?! Is Google truly that clueless? Do they just assume that any football fan site would be a good place to advertise for Cowboys merchandise? This is really starting to upset me. Frankly, I'm more upset by this than us missing on Le Charles. I'm starting to get VERY steamed. I'm feeling disrespected to such a degree that I want to renegotiate my 1 year contract already! I repeat again - WTF!

i'm pretty sure that those ads change dynamically based on the content of the site. so the cowboys ads are probably related to the fact that the word cowboys appeared several times recently when discussing me-o.

i bet if i post a bunch of words with other context (say porn star names), we'd start getting porn ads.
