Eagles Win 40-20

...according to the madden 07 simulation on

brian westbrook carried 30 times for 140 yards (guffaw). no word yet on his condition, he was last seen trying to find the ankle that fell off as he was being carted off the field.

I am a huge Eagles fan as well, but I want to sout out to these Phils. Thanks to a soft first by Leiber, they were dead and buried to a team that has made a habit out of kicking their ass the last few years. Yet they show grit and everyone gets in on the party and Leiber settles down and they whomp. This team loses that game in the past...badly. Coste plays hard, Howard and Utley play hard, Victorino plays hard, Conine plays hard. J Roll plays hard. They are not the most talented team and in the end they will probably be on the outside looking in, but props to the heart this team is showing. they shouldn't be winning some of these games.

Yes I knew they pissed away 4 games last week, but I don't care. This team has something that Phils fans haven't seen since 1993-balls.

Bumble is, they are going to have some money to spend this off-season...would love to see Rich Aurilla at 3B next year, maybe Bengie Molina and another starting's sad, but their undoing, like most teams, is going to be pitching....I don't think they are going to win the wild card, but probably will take it down to the wire...they are losing close games that a play-off caliber team needs to win.

Yu can't win unless you get great starters. Period. And the Phils don't have enough.

I can't believe it's a week into Sept and I'm still paying attention to the Phillies. It's been years. Plus, Penn State @ Notre Dame on Sat and the Eagles kick things off this Sunday. What a weekend. Go Phils. Go State. Go Birds!

anyone else notice Posluzny getting his ass kicked all over the field today? He looks done to me-tentative and he doesn't seem to be able to run anymore. It's a shame, he was a first round guy.
