ugh. nice run by petersen, but looked to me like it was terrible defense.

i'll have a get a closer look, but at first glance, it looked like gocong was at fault.

oof, second TD for petersen.

darren howard on steve hutchinson isn't a matchup we're likely to win too often in goal-line d.

I'm not loving the way this is going. Too many missed opportunities. Yuck, fumble.

agree completely on the long bomb call. just sneak the ball dumb-ass. can't fault andy for that, though, it was don's call.

no way that littlejohn would have slid to stay in bounds there.

i'd bet dollars to doughnutes he would have run right out of bounds or have tried to turn upfield and fumbled.

Don't know if he would have fumbled, MG, but it's a sure bet he would have held the pumpkin like a loaf of bread, courting disaster.

Hey Bumble - I've largely kept this to myself all season, but I think Asante Samuel is an incredible player - not because of the INT today (I could have caught that) - rather, because he has an unbelievable break on/to the ball.

Can't wait for round III in Gotham. Even if the Birds lose, this is suddenly a very entertaining season.

This was such a heart attack game. I sat watching the entire 3rd quarter as if PHI was trailing by 3 rather than up by 2 points.

Give McNabb credit for having a halfway decent game. Couple nice throws, especially when they were burried inside the 20 to shift field position.

Um, maybe Akers isn't washed up quite yet. All of his kick-offs were into the end zone and he had plenty of leg on all his FGs.

Thank goodness MIN really, really sucks on punt coverage. That in itself may have won us the game.

I think Samuel is good at the exact play he made to win the game today, but the guy gives way too much cushion too often to guys he can blanket. He also drops way too many sure fire INT. He is very talented, still not sure he was worth that money but he won the game today no doubt.

Don made some very clutch throws today to bail them out of awful field position. I won't kill him for the INT, that D back made a nice grab as it looked like a Curtis or no one ball and the guy dove and caught it. Not necessary and you cannot leave points on the field, but the guy did make up for it despite a massive rush (wow is Jared Allen a hustler. That guy seemed to be near every play).

I will shake my head in disappointment that Donovan again cannot execute the 2 minute offense. 2 swing passes to Westbrook? Really? All he needed was 5-8 yards more for a realistic Akers shot and he throws to B Wes in the middle of the field with 8 seconds left? That is a terrible decision by a ten year guy. Maybe he had nothing else, but throw something near a sideline. That was the one play of the game I really was disappointed in his decision making.

Akers in a dome could add 5 years to his leg!

They may not win next week, but I have a bunch of Giant friends who are crapping themselves right now at the prospect. I know the Giants are better than they were late in the season, but so are the Birds. If they can keep Jacobs in check and force Eli to win the game under that monster rush, maybe...maybe...

The thing I'd add to that is that he's made everybody else in the secondary better. Doesn't it seem like everyone is now making quick breaks to the ball? Even Lito made a nice play during garbage time. Brown and Hanson also look great.

I think you are underestimating the impact Samuel has had on this team. I used to think Lito was pretty good until I saw the upgrade this year.

I was pretty positive in my post but I'm always a glass half full kind of guy. I felt like they were winning that game. I feel like if they can win this next one, they are going to the Bowl. I think the Giants are going to be gunning for bear and you don't beat the champion without a fight. I hope none of their banged up guys are too banged up.

I agree. I guess. Ever since they've gotten in, I've been trying to lower my expectations. Not sure my heart can taken getting broken 3x in 1 season.

Don't think of it as a chance for a broken heart, but rather another sunrise.
